It's all about Ancient Egypt this week in our homeschool. Ella loves learning about the ancient Egyptians so her science project is about mummification. Don't worry - we're not mummifying anyone :o) Instead, we will be making mummified apples to see which salt compounds make the best mummies. In preparation for our experiment, we spent this morning learning about ancient Egyptian life and especially learning about embalming, or mummy making. In addition to the wonderful books I found at the library, I found a fun, interactive 'embalming game' for kids online (thanks to Google).
